PK had some of the best sex of his life, all seven times. The worst part about it was, he had to pull his ass out of her bed and leave her for god knew how long. He hated that prospect. Now all he wanted to do was spend the holidays with Clarissa, even if she was a little bit of a scrooge. Well, he wasn't sure if she was a true scrooge. She lacked the decorations and got on his case about the holiday music.

He looked over at her sleeping body, when a bright green eye popped open with a soft smile. She whispered, "Oh good, you're still here." He nodded. He didn't have much time. "I could have sworn you’d left."

He loved that she’d noticed he was gone. He chuckled. "Someone had to take care of Nathan."

"Oh," she said as her mouth drew a giant O shape.

He kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry, but I do have to leave for real very, very soon."

Her lips formed the perfect pout, but he couldn't blame her. He felt the same disappointment about leaving. He snorted, which led her to roll her eyes and shake her head. "You're no fun."

"That's not what you said last night." He smirked, knowing how much she called out in pleasure in the night. "Besides, you've barely seen my place. At least, I have Christmas decorations up, ready for the holiday." He cursed himself for saying that last part out loud. He never should have taken a dig at her for the lack of décor.

She pushed herself onto her elbow and gave him a dirty look that he definitely deserved. "Have you thought that it was because I'm not home nearly enough to enjoy them and/or waiting for a family so we could really celebrate the holiday?"

He knew he could get smacked for the next response, but he was going to take the risk anyway. "Well, you do have a family now. You, me, and the little guy."

Much to his surprise, she smiled and just laid her head down. She looked so damn sexy and sleepy all at the same time. He soothed her hair and gave her one more kiss. Fortunately, she kissed him back. "I like the sound of that."

"As do I. I promise I'll be back soon, but until then, I'll call."

"Sounds good." Her eyes fell shut. He placed one last kiss on her forehead. He hated leaving.

"Sleep well, sweetheart." He backed out of the bedroom and quickly headed to his place to grab everything he would need for the road trip. His mind kept slipping back to his two loves in the condo next door.

Normally, he would leave without a second’s hesitation. Returning to the Sound was all that he dreamt of. But Clarissa meant so much to him. He was just glad that in her sleepy state, she didn't try to fight him when he said that they were a family in the making.
